Disch, Thomas: On Wings of Song (1979). Sci-fi with bisexual protagonist.

Farrell, Matthew [Stephen Leigh]: Thunder Rift (2000). Sci-fi with bisexual female protagonist.

Gibson, William: Virtual Light (1993). Sci-fi.

Gotlieb, Phyllis: Flesh and Gold (1998) and Violent Stars (2000). Sci-fi with lesbian protagonist.

Littell, Jonathan: Bad Voltage (1989). Cyberpunk.

MacGregor, Loren J.: The Net (1987). Sci-fi; bisexual female protagonist.

McIntyre, Vonda N.: Dreamsnake (1994).

McMahon, Donna: Dance of Knives (2001). Sci-fi with lesbian and bisexual characters.

Pierce, Tamora: The Will of the Empress (2008). Fantasy with lesbian character; ninth book in a series but can supposedly be read as a stand-alone.

Sakers, Don: Dance for the Ivory Madonna (2002). Sci-fi.

Shirley, John: Three-Ring Psychus (1980). Surreal sci-fi.

Smith, Stephanie A.: Other Nature (1995). Dystopian sci-fi; lesbian protagonist.

Tarr, Judith: Arrows of the Sun (1995). Fantasy; gay protagonist. Also, The Hall of the Mountain King (1988), Book One of Avaryan Rising.

Warrington, Freda: The Jewelfire Trilogy, starting with The Amber Citadel (1999). Fantasy.
